This invention offers a microgel-containing anionic water-dispersible resin composition which is not affected by humidity, is not affected by water marks formed as a result of washing with water after the electrodeposition painting when used as an electrodeposition paint and is able to be used as an aqueous paint and a highsolid paint and also offers an electrodeposition coating composition containing said resin composition. This invention relates to a microgel-containing anionic water-dispersible resin composition containing (A) a resin composition having acetoacetyl and carboxyl groups, (B) an amine and water and (C) an aldehyde and also to an electrodeposition coating composition containing said resin composition.
