PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently drawing glass.SOLUTION: The method for redrawing glass includes: a step a of providing a blank 10 of a glass having average thickness D and average width B; a step b of heating the blank 10; a step c of drawing the blank 10 to average thickness d and average width b. The blank 10 includes a center region 16 and two edge regions 14, and temperature of the blank 10 in a deformation zone is adjusted such that the center region 16 reaches first temperature T1 that is higher than second temperature T2 of the edge regions 14. The deformation zone is a part of the blank 10 that has thickness of 1.05×d to 0.95×D, and a portion of the deformation zone whose temperature is adjusted extends over height of at least 75% of the deformation zone. |
