PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that the rechargeable cells of a battery are not uniform, and the nonuniformity of the cells causes increase in reduction of the battery capacity when charge and discharge are repeated.SOLUTION: A charger has a charging circuit for charging the pulse of electric energy of a plurality of rechargeable cells of a battery for other cells, and supplying a pulse of electric energy having different numbers of pulses corresponding thereto. The charging circuit is configured to supply the rechargeable cells with a plurality of main charging pulses, to supply at least one rechargeable cell of low charged state compared with that of other rechargeable cells with a secondary charging pulse, and to supply at least one rechargeable cell with an individual secondary charging pulse between each pair of main charging pulses. Consequently, the charged state of the rechargeable cells of the battery can be balanced furthermore. |
