PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: accuracy of density correction control can be improved by averaging detection results of test images, while the number of sensors are increased according to the number of test images, thereby increasing cost.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: first detection means formed of a light-emitting element and one light-receiving element which receives specular reflection light emitted from the light-emitting element and reflected from a rotating body with a first test image formed thereon; and second detection means formed of a light-emitting element and one light-receiving element which receives irregular reflection light emitted from the light-emitting device and reflected on a second test image formed on the rotating body; and control means which determines a value on toner concentration, on the basis of a first detection result on the first test image detected by the first detection means and a second detection result on the second test image detected by the second detection means. |
