PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver capable of detecting the number of bits in a period where the same value data is continuous, even if the edges of a received bit string are shifted.SOLUTION: An edge-to-edge length determination unit measures a first same edge interval from a detection timing of a fall edge indicating the start of a known bit string where the same data values contained in a received bit string are continuous, to next detection timing of the same edge. A number of bits determination unit detects the number of bits contained in the first same edge interval from reference bit length information, and detects a first number of bits of a same value interval where the same data values are continuous, by subtracting the number of bits of a known bit string from that number of bits. The edge-to-edge length determination unit further measures a second same edge interval from the detection timing of rise edge indicating the start of a same value interval to a next detection timing of the same edge. The number of bits determination unit further detects the number of bits of the second same edge interval from the reference bit length information, and detects a second number of bits of a bit string where the continuous data value is reversal of the same value interval by subtracting the first number of bits from that number of bits. |
