PURPOSE: To stably supply a developer and to exhaust the developer by forming a developer container to such a shape that at least a part of the housed developer is concentrated in a developer discharge port accompanied by pivoting. CONSTITUTION: A partitioning part 43K as a developer flow blocking part is integrally formed with a toner cartridge 41K and a toner reservoir part 44K is formed in the vicinity of the attaching part of a hopper 40K. Then, a part of toner in the cartridge is dammed by the partitioning part 43K and stored in the toner reservoir part 44K. The toner stored therein flows into the hopper 40K through the toner discharge port of the cartridge and the toner receiving port of the hopper 40K. In this way, the rotational directions of a developing device and the toner cartridge are fixed and a position for supplying from the cartridge to the hopper is provided on the upstream side in the rotational direction, so that a necessary amount of toner can be stably supplied from the toner cartridge to the hopper, without using a toner carrying mechanism. |
