A novel elafin derivative having the amino acid sequence represented by formula (I): <IMAGE> or other amino acid sequence homologous thereto, wherein X represents leucine, isoleucine or valine. This derivative has an oxidation stability superior to that of natural elafin and hence can be utilized as a medicine such as an elastase inhibitor. |
