<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the input device which can securely switch input between a bar code reader and a tablet. SOLUTION: When an input means 3 approaches the tablet 1, a coordinate sensor part 31 sends out coordinate data 31X to a control means 4 and the tablet 1 also sends out a detection signal 1X of 'H' level indicating whether or not the coordinate data 31X is effective coordinates. Then when the input means 3 touches the tablet 1, a decision signal 33X goes down to 'L' level and is sent out to the control means 4, which determines the effective coordinates and holds an acknowledgement signal 4Y at the 'L' level. Further, when the input means 3 comes into contact with bar code data 2 on a medium 2 other than the tablet 1, the detection signal 1X and decision signal 33X both go down to "L" and the acknowledgement signal 4Y goes up to 'H' level, so that bar code data 21 read by a bar code sensor part 32 is sent out to a host system 5.</p> |
