<p>An ion-exchange membrane method electrolytic cell in which an electrode support member therefor is: configured from a corrosion-resistant frame (A) having at least a section thereof covered by an elastic mat, and a corrosion-resistant frame (B) having no section thereof covered by the elastic mat; and supported and housed between a flexible electrode and a current collector. Preferably, the flexible electrode and the electrode support member are fixed to the current collector by a pin that passes through the flexible negative electrode but does not pass through the space having the elastic mat of the electrode support member. This ion-exchange membrane method electrolytic cell can be produced easily, and can be operated stably over the long term without the ion-exchange membrane being damaged.</p> |
