<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner showing enhanced coloring power and suppressing filming on a developing roller under low temperature and low humidity conditions, when a colorant in toner particles is treated with rosin and the toner is produced in an aqueous medium. <P>SOLUTION: The toner contains toner particles containing at least a colorant and a binder resin. The toner particles are produced in an aqueous medium. The colorant contains, on its surface, rosin containing tetrahydroabietic acid by 60 mass% or more and 90 mass% or less, in which the amount of the rosin is 5.0 parts by mass or more and 30.0 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of the colorant. When the rosin is dissolved in toluene, the solution shows an interfacial tension A (mN/m) against water satisfying 20.0≤A≤28.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
