<p>The present invention relates to a permanent magnet motor and, more specifically, to an apparatus and a method for estimating a rotor temperature of a motor which estimate a temperature of a rotor (magnet) of a motor using a permanent magnet to improve efficiency and a torque precision of the motor. According to the invention, when compared to a conventional calculating method using a loss, a thermal resistance, and a heat capacity, the temperature of the rotor can be measured more accurately, thereby improving a motor torque control precision and efficiency.</p> |
