<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small sealed radiation source container which is a container for storing a small sealed radiation source for brachytherapy using<SP POS="POST">125</SP>I or<SP POS="POST">103</SP>Pd as a radiation source and has such features that leakage of radiation to the outside of the container can be prevented, environmental pollution problems caused by lead can be reduced or dissolved and excellent workability in manufacturing can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: In the small sealed radiation source container, the whole surface of the container is made of a radiation shielding material and at least a part of the shielding material is composed of zinc and/or zinc alloy. It is preferable that the whole shielding material is composed of zinc and/or zinc alloy. Even when a small sealed radiation source is obtained before inserting it into a human body for medical treatment of prostate carcinoma or a small sealed radiation source is slipped off from the human body after inserting it into the human body for medical treatment of prostate carcinoma, the small sealed radiation source can be applied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
