PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the degradation of the responsiveness of a friction engagement element of a transmission in switching the range by executing the overexcitation control to relatively increase the excitation current in starting a duty solenoid valve in a period except the prescribed period where the background noise is judged to be small. SOLUTION: When the noise reduction is conventionally controlled, and the background noise is judged to be small according to the traveling condition, the operation of a duty solenoid valve 17 is in a stopped condition, and a problem of the working noise of the duty solenoid valve 17 is solved. In the case, however, when the select condition of a select lever is switched from the N- range or P-range to the D-range, a noise reduction control flag is turned OFF, and the regular noise reduction control is stopped. Thus, when the range is switched from the N-range to the D-range, and a vehicle is immediately started, the vehicle can be smoothly operated without generating any delay in action of a clutch in a transmission mechanism. |
