<p>An air conditioning system (100) and address setting method that can reduce the range over which the addresses of indoor units (11-13, 21-23, 31-33) are searched, when the operation of a plurality of multi-type air conditioners (18, 28, 38) is centrally controlled, are provided. An air conditioning system (100) including a plurality of air conditioners (18, 28, 38), each having an outdoor unit (1, 2, 3) and at least one indoor unit (11-13, 21-23, 31-33) connected to the outdoor unit (1, 2, 3) through refrigerant pipes, and a central control unit (5) capable of centrally controlling all the indoor units (11-13, 21-23, 31-33) of the plurality of air conditioners (18, 28, 38) is employed.
