<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep fairness among players by making it hard to carry out the action of refraining from hitting a game ball until the time when a variable winning device becomes an advantageous state advantageous to the player. <P>SOLUTION: A microcomputer for game control determines whether or not a winning is to be attained by using a random number for normal symbol winning determination stored as holding storage, and determines beforehand whether or not a winning is to be attained by using the random number for normal symbol winning determination extracted when a game ball passes through a gate. Also, when a predetermined condition is established, the microcomputer for the game control controls a game state to a high base state.
