PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for providing a reversible thermosensitive recording medium which has a slidability protecting layer excellent in heat resistance and slidability and having no surface flaw and no head dregs sticking even when image formation and image erasing are repeated by a heating element many times and even when heat and pressure are high and further which can be produced from carbon dioxide and which can be a useful environment corresponding product.SOLUTION: The reversible thermosensitive recording medium has a base material and a thermosensitive recording layer, an arbitrary intermediate layer and the slidability protecting layer provided at least on one surface of the base material in this order. The thermosensitive recording layer is consisting essentially of a polymer resin and an organic low molecular substance dispersed in the polymer resin and its transparency can be reversibly changed by temperature. The slidability protecting layer is formed of a resin composition consisting essentially of a polysiloxane-denatured polyhydroxy polyurethane resin derived from a reaction of a five-membered ring cyclic carbonate polysiloxane compound with an amine compound. |
