PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel crystalline polyethylene composition which contains little nucleating agent and has an excellent moldability and an excellent transparency and to provide its preparation process. SOLUTION: This crystalline polyethylene composition comprises [I] an ethylene/a-olefin copolymer, wherein (a-i) the density is 0.880-0.970 g/cm3, (a-ii) the MFR is 0.02-200 g/10 min, (a-iii) W and (d) satisfy W<80×exp(-100(d-0.88))+0.1 if MFR<=10 g/10 min and W<80×(MFR-9)0.26×exp(-100(d-0.88))+0.1 if MFR>10 g/l0 min, (a-iv) Tm <400d-248, (a-v) the relationship, 9.0 MFR-0.65>MT>2.2 MFR-0.84, is satisfied, (a-vi) (0.039 Ln(C-2)+0.0096)x+2.87<Ea<=(0.039 Ln(C-2)+0.1660)X+2.87 if C<=10 and 0.44x+2.87<=Ea if C>=11 and (a-vii) 2.2<Mw/Mn<3.5, and a reaction product between a compound of benzoic acid and an aluminum compound in the polymer [A]. The content of the reaction product is 0.005-0.15 wt.%. There is no peak determined as of the carboxylic group of a carboxylic acid or the absorbance A1 is not more than 0.1, A2 is not more than 0.4 and A1/A2 is not more than 5.
