<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optical glass which contains Bi<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and has a characteristic Abbe's number [νd] while keeping an extremely large partial dispersion ratio [θg, F]. <P>SOLUTION: The optical glass contains a SiO<SB>2</SB>component and/or a B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>component and a Bi<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>component of 40-90% in terms of mass% of oxide, has a partial dispersion ratio [θg, F] of≥0.63 and an Abbe's number [νd] of≤27, and satisfies a partial dispersion ratio [θg, F] of >-0.0108×[νd]+0.8529. The optical glass described in the claim 1 which contains a Bi<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>component of 64-90% in terms of mass% of oxide is also provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
