<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide structure capable of maintaining a function to release the inner pressure of an oil pan by a breather groove 24, and to prevent the intrusion of water or dirt from the outside, in an oil level gauge 1. <P>SOLUTION: The oil level gauge 1 includes a gauge body 10 inserted into an oil pan from a pipe-shaped gauge guide 2, and a handle 20 of rubber-like flexible material mounted to an upper end of the gauge body. On the handle 20, there are formed a seal 23 to closely contact with an opening of the gauge guide 2, the breather groove 24 to release pressure in the oil pan to the atmosphere, and a membrane 25 extending so as to block the breather groove 24 and allowing close contact with an inner surface 2a of the gauge guide 2. The membrane 25 is deformed by a preset atmospheric pressure difference and allows ventilation by the breather groove 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
