PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of bringing a printing pressure set by a worker substantially into coincidence with that actually given to a substrate from a squeegee irrespective of the overall length of the squeegee and a length of the substrate in the longitudinal direction of the squeegee. SOLUTION: A cream solder printer 1 slides a squeegee 1 along an upper surface of a mask 2 in the state that the mask 2 having an opening of a predetermined pattern is brought into close contact with an upper surface of a substrate 2 and a squeegee 11 is pressed to the upper surface of the mask 2 by a predetermined pressing force F, and pushes out a cream solder 4 supplied to the upper surface of the mask 2 to the upper surface of the substrate 3 from the opening of the mask 2 to coat the substrate with the solder 4. The printer 1 has a first calculating means for calculating the force F. The means obtains the force F by the formula (F=Lpwb×P+(L-Lpwb)×P×K1), wherein P is the printing pressure, L is the overall length of the squeegee, Lpwb is a length of the substrate in the longitudinal direction of the squeegee, and K1 is a coefficient varying in a range of 0.1 to 1 in response to a type of the mask.
