The present invention relates to a wireless power transmitting device, which can reduce standby power of the wireless power transmitting device, and a method of transmitting wireless power. The wireless power transmitting device according to the present invention can comprise: a power supply unit supplying an input voltage; a receiving unit which receives a power-on signal or a power-off signal from a remote controller; a power transmission control unit which generates an operation signal for supplying power for operating an electronic device based on the power-on signal; and a power converting unit which forms a wireless power signal based on the supplied input voltage and a switching operation by the operation signal and supplies the wireless power to a wireless power receiving device.
