The present invention relates to a receptacle connector and to a connector assembly including the same. The receptacle connector according to the present invention includes: a plug connector which includes a plug body and equips one or more plug contacts installed on the plug body; a receptacle body having an internal space for accepting the plug connector; a coupling unit which is installed inside the receptacle body; and a receptacle contact which is extended from the coupling unit and equips a contact unit which is contact with one side and the other side of the plug contact when the plug connector is inserted. The contact unit of the receptacle contact is formed in a U-shape after shearing the end of the receptacle contact.
