PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic paper feeder capable of eliminating the possibility of giving a damage to a photographic paper sheet when a selectively guiding means is switched to discharge the photographic paper sheet from a discharge port subsequent to a second transfer route when any problem occurs under the control of the photographic paper sheet based on the detection of the front and rear ends thereof. SOLUTION: In order to transfer different sizes of photographic paper mixed with each other along a main transfer route and transfer and discharge the photographic paper to first and second transfer routes for each size by switching the switching guides 40 disposed at branch points, this photographic paper feeder comprises a main detection sensor 27 for detecting the tip part of the photographic paper sheet P, a timer 101 for measuring a passing time for the amount of interval between the transferred photographic paper sheet P and a next photographic paper sheet P, and a control part 100 for switching the switching guide 40 to the second transfer route side when a detection is not performed by the main detection sensor 27 after a time is elapsed.
