In the disclosed apparatus, each lateral sleeve (2) has open ends (2.1), (2.2) and parallel longitudinal walls, closed on the entire perimeter of the cross-section of the sleeve (2). Each assembly of catalytic elements (3) is placed in the lateral sleeve (2) symmetrical to its upper and lower longitudinal walls 2.3) and (2.4), respectively.
