<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The device (10) has a windscreen wiper arm (16) comprising an orifice (20) receiving a drive shaft (14). The orifice comprises a tightening element (24) e.g. eccentric stud, rotatably mounted to block the arm on the shaft under the effect of tightening tension. The arm comprises a receiving unit (28) i.e. empty cavity, so that the arm slides along the shaft under the effect of a force exerted by an impact on the arm along an axis of the shaft with partial reception of the shaft. A complementary element is made of plastic material and provided between the shaft and the tightening element. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Windscreen wiper device for a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The wiper arm comprises the receiving unit, so that the arm slides along the shaft under the effect of the force exerted by the impact on the arm along the axis of the shaft with partial reception of the shaft, thus ensuring escapement of the wiper device in case of impact on the arm, in a simple and inexpensive manner. The design of the tightening element ensures the fixation of the arm on the shaft in a simple and inexpensive manner.
