PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology advantageous for reducing a fixed pattern noise.SOLUTION: A solid state image pickup device has a pixel array in which a plurality of pixels are arrayed such that a plurality of lines following a first direction and a plurality of lines following a second direction crossing a first direction are configured. Each pixel includes: a photoelectric conversion element; and a reading circuit for outputting a signal corresponding to electric charge generated in the photoelectric conversion element, and the reading circuit includes a transistor arranged so as to configure a current path with a current source. The plurality of lines following the first direction include a first line and a second line which are adjacent to each other, and the reading circuit of the pixel of the first line and the reading circuit of the pixel of the second line are arranged between the photoelectric conversion element of the pixel of the first line and the photoelectric conversion element of the pixel of the second line. The direction of currents flowing through the transistor of the reading circuit of the pixel of the first line is the same as the direction of currents flowing through the transistor of the reading circuit of the pixel of the second line. |
