PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve device of an internal combustion engine capable of miniaturizing the device while securing the output torque of an electric motor by suppressing the leakage of lines of magnetic force.SOLUTION: A motor housing 5 of an electric motor 12 and a casing of a deceleration mechanism are connected by a plurality of bolts 7 inserted to the direction of the motor housing from a side of the casing; the outer peripheral portion of a front end face 5e axially opposed to one end portions 14a, 15a of permanent magnets 14, 15 of a partitioning wall 5b, is provided with projecting portions 6 having female screw holes 5h engaged with tip portions of the bolts formed therein; and the front end face 5e excluding the projecting portions is arranged separated from one end portions of the permanent magnets. |
