PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, that a method for displaying any of a two-dimensional image and a three-dimensional image in accordance with a situation of an observer has not been known.SOLUTION: A display device displaying a two-dimensional image and a three-dimensional image comprise: a backlight part; a shutter part that has a plurality of apertures provided in a right-eye area and a left-eye area; a lenticular lens that separates light passing through the plurality of apertures of the shutter part into light for a viewing point of a right-eye and light for a viewing point of a left-eye; a display part that has a right-eye image area where the light corresponding to the viewing point of the right-eye is caused to be transmitted, and a right-eye image is displayed, and has a left-eye image area where the light corresponding to the viewing point of the left-eye is caused to be transmitted, and a left-eye image is displayed; and a light output control part that controls so as to display any of the three-dimensional image and the two-dimensional image to an observer by controlling opening/closing of the plurality of apertures of the shutter part. |
