摘要 Method and apparatus for protecting a metal substrate from corrosion. The method comprises generating an acid organic-inorganic hybrid sol-gel; providing a polyaniline solution; combining the sol-gel with the polyaniline solution; incorporating a polysiloxane within the organic-inorganic hybrid sol-gel, the polyaniline solution or the combined sol-gel and polyaniline solution; coating the substrate with the polysiloxane sol-gel polyaniline solution; and curing the coating at the substrate, such that the coating is chemically bonded to the substrate, the coating comprising a polysiloxane based network having a Si—O backbone.
