PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To derive a reading magnification suitable for a document, without conveying the document.SOLUTION: An image reading apparatus of a sheet-through type comprises: document conveyance means which comprises a transparent board and a guide board made of a thermal-expansion material, in order to generate a gap for the document to pass therethrough; read means which irradiates the document passing through the gap with light from a fixed position via the transparent board and generates image data on the basis of reflected light from the document; and control means which acquires information correlated with the gap (S02) and thereafter adjusts the reading magnification of the document in accordance with the acquired information (S05). |
