<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of recording high-quality images by distinguishing between streaks arising from recording element failure and streaks arising from trouble other than recording element failure.SOLUTION: Multiple test patterns, which are recorded by using each of multiple recording element arrays, are read, and in a case where a steak is present in predetermined test patterns out of the multiple test patterns at the same position in the direction of the array of the recording elements, it is determined that the steak does not arise from the recording element failure.</p> |
