<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet cutting device capable of inhibiting wear of circular blades for cutting a sheet, and to provide an image formation device.SOLUTION: A sheet cutting device 5 includes: a cutter unit 51 which holds a cutter 50 formed by a pair of rotary circular blades 50a, 50b and may move in a sheet width direction; and a guide member 52 which guides movement of the cutter unit 51. The guide member 52 includes: a forward path on which the cutter 50 moves when cutting a roll sheet 30; and a return path on which the cutter unit 51 moves after cutting the roll sheet. The cutter unit 51 includes a rotational driving force transmission mechanism which transmits a rotational driving force to the circular blades 50a, 50b. The rotational driving force transmission mechanism is formed so as to transmit the rotational driving force to the circular blades 50a, 50b when the cutter unit 51 moves on the forward path and avoid transmitting the rotational driving force to the circular blades 50a, 50b when the cutter unit 51 moves on the return path.</p> |
