If a storage unit in a coordinator contains no device information upon startup, a communication control unit in said coordinator does the following: broadcasts a beacon request; writes, to the storage unit, a PAN-ID other than PAN-IDs sent in replies from other communicators that received the beacon request; and performs wireless communication using the PAN-ID written to the storage unit. If the storage unit does contain device information upon startup, the communication control unit performs wireless communication using a PAN-ID stored in said storage unit.
