MAGNETIC MATERIAL, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MAGNETIC MATERIAL, AND REACTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic material having a small magnetic strain amount λ, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A reactor comprises a magnetic material including soft magnetic metal particles each having an insulative coating, a low-melting point glass having a softening point of 600°C or below, and inevitable impurities. In parts of the magnetic material other than pores, the content of the low-melting point glass is 0.1-1.6 mass%, or 0.2-3.7 vol.%. A method for manufacturing a magnetic material comprises: the material preparation step of preparing soft magnetic powder, and glass powder having a softening point of 600°C or below; the mixing step of mixing the soft magnetic powder and the glass powder while controlling the ratio of the glass powder controlled to be 0.1-1.6 mass%, or 0.2-3.7 vol.%; the press-compacting step of press-compacting the resultant mixture under a surface pressure of 700-1200 MPa; and the thermal treatment step of performing a thermal treatment on the resultant compact at a temperature lower than the softening point by 100°C or higher.
