PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for improving frame rate using a motion trajectory.SOLUTION: An apparatus for improving frame rate determines forward feature point trajectory information by using a frame feature point, and generates a new intermediate frame by performing backward motion estimation by using the feature point trajectory information, thereby performing exact motion estimate and generating an interpolated image with high quality.
