PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to improve rigidity of a device body.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus (color printer 1) includes: a pair of frames (side frames 13) arranged facing each other across a plurality of image forming units (process parts 50) in a rotation axis direction of a photoreceptor drum 51, to support the image forming units; an optical scanner 40 arranged on one side of the image forming units to expose the photoreceptor drums 51; a first cylindrical metal connection frame 100 having a closed cross section orthogonal to the rotation axis direction, and configured to connect both ends in the rotation axis direction to the pair of frames, to house the optical scanner 40 therein; and a second cylindrical metal connection frame 200 arranged on the opposite side of the image forming units, having a closed cross section orthogonal to the rotation axis direction, and configured to connect both ends in the rotation axis direction to the pair of frames. |
