PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger reducing the manufacturing cost of a case containing heat transfer tubes more than ever before. SOLUTION: A case body section 5 of the case C containing the heat transfer tubes 1, 2 is composed by joining first and second members M1, M2. Each of the first and second members M1, M2 includes a main plate part 50 used as an upper wall part 50a or a lower wall part 50b of the case body section 5, erect plate parts 51A, 51B erecting in a bent state from the main plate part 50 and used as a front wall part 51a or a rear wall part 51b, and opening parts 52, 53 used as inflow openings 52a, 53a or outflow openings 52b, 53b. In the first and second members M1, M2, predetermined configurations of each of the main plate parts 50 and the erect plate parts 51A, 51B such as outer peripheral shapes and sizes of them are substantially the same.
