PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition useful for treating and preventing condition caused by Helicobacter pylori.

SOLUTION: The secretion promoter of α-1,4-bond type N-acetylglucosamine-containing O-glycan type sugar chain contains at least one kind selected from glucosamine and/or glucosamine derivative represented by general formula [1]: R-GlcN or general formula [2]: R-GlcNAc (in the formulas, GlcN is a glucosamine residue; GlcNAc is an N-acetylglucosamine residue; and R is hydrogen or a sugar chain having 1-5 polymerization degree), as a component for promoting the secretion of an O-glycan type sugar chain bonded to N-acetylglucosamine by α-1,4 type glycoside bond at the nonreducing terminal part from a cell.
