Disclosed is an air conditioner in which an air filter can be easily attached and detached and in which the air filter can always be positioned and housed in a prescribed position regardless of how many users clean or replace the air filter. The air conditioner, which is equipped with an oblong cabinet and in which an intake panel (3) is provided in an openable and closable manner on the front surface of the bottom half of said cabinet and an air filter (5) capable of sliding vertically is installed in a detachable manner on the rear surface of the intake panel, is provided, below the intake panel (3), with a slanted guide (15) that guides the air filter (5) to a prescribed position in the front-to-back direction and the transverse direction, and is provided, on the bottom of said air filter (5), with a regulating member (23) that is guided by coming into contact with the slanted guide (15) and that positions and installs said air filter (5) in the prescribed position. |
