<p>The invention relates to a control device (9) for at least one electromotive adjusting drive (7, 8) of a piece of furniture (1), comprising at, least one adjusting drive connection (91) for connecting to the at least one electromotive adjusting drive (7, 8), and an interface (92) for coupling to at least one operating unit (10). When a control element (12, 13) of the control unit is actuated, a switch signal is emitted at the end of the control for controlling the at least electromotive adjusting drive (7, 8) and/or an electric motor of the electromotive adjusting drive (7, 8). Said control device is characterised in that it comprises a multi-functional connection (93) designed as a multi-functional interface, said connection comprising at least one data signal line for transferring data, at least one power supply line and at least one signal input and output line. Said control device (9) is designed to emit data signals on the data signal line of the multi-functional interface, in accordance with the actuation of one of the operating elements (12, 13) or additional operating elements (15, 16, 17) of the operating unit (10).
