The present invention relates to: a mixture of diatomite and charcoal bottom ash for a raw material of light weight bed soil for a paddy field; and light weight bed soil for a paddy field including the same. More specifically, in the mixture, the charcoal bottom ash, which is environmental waste generated in a thermal power plant, and diatomite, which is acid sulfate soil, are mixed at a certain ratio. The pH of the mixture is 4.0-4.6. According to the present invention, when the light weight bed soil for a paddy field including the mixture of diatomite and charcoal bottom ash is used, air permeability and water absorbing properties of the soil are increased. Therefore, crops can grow very well on the soil; raw material costs for the bed soil can be reduced; productivity of the resource can be increased by reusing the industrial waste; and costs for reprocessing the industrial waste can be reduced.
