PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the area extracting accuracy of an image processing apparatus that extracts out of a photographed image an area corresponding to a welded part by using a graph cut method.SOLUTION: Areas in a photographed image presumed to be a foreground area and a background area are designated to the photographed image as tentative initial areas (S31); a tentative area corresponding to a welded part 23 is extracted by a graph cut method from the photographed image with reference to the tentative initial areas (S32, S33 and S35); an area resulting from exclusion from the photographed image an expanded area obtained by expanding the extracted tentative area is designated as a background initial area corresponding to the background area and a contracted area obtained by contracting the tentative area is designated as a foreground initial area corresponding to the foreground area both to the photographed image (S34); and the foreground area is extracted by the graph cut method from the photographed image with reference to the designated background initial area and foreground initial area (S36). |
