A method and a device for supporting a mobility service are provided to supply a high speed mobility service to a node not having a mobility support function based on a network by using an L2 trigger function in an IP network environment. An AP(Access Point) transmits address information including L2(Level 2) address information of a connected mobile node(S215). A location of the mobile node transmits the address information and L3 address information of an agent to a management device to register(S225). A data packet is received from the mobile node. L3 address information of another agent managing a destination node is received from a management device. The data packet is transmitted to another agent by using the L3 address information.
