A receptacle terminal is provided to prevent plastic deformation of an elastic part equipped within a coupling box unit, and to relatively increase coupling power with a tab terminal inserted into the coupling box unit. A coupling box unit(22) is formed in square container shape, and is inserted with a correspondent terminal. A barrel unit is formed on a rear end of a body unit, and is connected to a wire. An elastic part is extended from a tip of a lower plate to perform elastic deformation to the inside of the coupling box unit. Portions of both side plates of a supporting part(38) neighboring on a tip of the elastic part are cut, so that the supporting part is bent to the inside of the coupling box unit. The supporting part is lower than the tip of the elastic part.
