Test method for determining the oil separation proclivity of lubricating grease and test device for performing the same

The method involves bringing grease of a sample volume (2) in contact with an oil absorption- or oil separating organ (11). Changes of the sample volume is determined based on the absorption or separation of oil, which is separated from grease (27), by the oil absorption- or oil separating organ at an end of a test period. Temporal process of the changes of the sample volume, which represents the oil separation, is detected over the test period. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for determining oil separation gradient of greases under a pressure load (2) a method for controlling a central lubrication unit.
