<p>A cable handling vehicle 100 for handling subsea cable 103 comprising one or more cable haulers 111 to move the cable 103 and an arm 107a, 107b which is moveable to control an entry or exit position of the cable 103 to or from the vehicle 100. At least one cable support 109a, 109b is provided which supports and guides the cable 103 along the arm 107a, 107b. In a particular embodiment the cable hauler 111 and cable support 109a, 109b are mounted on a material handling machine (202, Figure 4) and a cable handler (211, Figure 4) is mounted on the arm (207b, Figure 4) of the material handling machine (202) to control the orientation of the cable 103 as it is guided onto or off of the machine (202). Such a vehicle (202) replaces multiple pieces of specialist equipment in a reduced footprint.</p> |
