<p>[Problem] To prevent turning of a circular insert during cutting work without losing blade edge strength or the like of the insert in a cutting tool with a replaceable blade edge in which the insert is detachably mounted. [Solution] In the external peripheral surface of a circular insert, the thickness of the circular insert which has at least one turn-preventing surface is h1, the height from the bottom surface to the top end of the turn-preventing surface is h2, the height from the bottom surface to the bottom end of the turn-preventing surface is h3, h2 satisfies formula (1) below, and h3 satisfies formula (2) below. An insert-fixing part of a tool assembly comprises: a seat surface on which the bottom surface of the insert sits; two arcuate bearing surfaces for restraining the external peripheral surface of the insert, the bearing surfaces standing upright from the ends of the seat surface; and a turn-preventing part for contacting the turn-preventing surface of the insert, the turn-preventing part standing upright from the seat surface in between the two bearing surfaces.
