PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of improving operational performance of a system for controlling intermediate phase continuously variable valve in which the decrease of the number of revolution of an engine due to a phenomenon of cam position lag is eliminated by compensating ignition timing.SOLUTION: In a method, (A) an engine electronic control unit (ECU) starting control of a position of an intermediate phase CVVT (Continuously Variable Valve Timing System) reads a cam position, (B) an engine ignition timing is compensated to prevent cam position lag (CAM undershoot), when the engine electronic control unit determines the cam position agreed with a parking (Parking) of the intermediate phase CVVT, and (C) an ignition timing control according to an engine operating condition is recovered after compensating the engine ignition timing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
