The present invention relates to a data driving apparatus for a liquid crystal display device capable of reducing the temperature of a drive IC by reducing an output current of an output buffer part. The data driving apparatus for the liquid crystal display device according to the present invention includes an output buffer which buffers a data voltage inputted from a digital to analog converter and outputs the buffered data voltage. The output buffer includes an input amplifier which amplifies a current in proportion to the data voltage and outputs the amplified current, an output unit which supplies a data voltage corresponding to the data voltage to an output channel by using charging and discharging currents in proportion to the output current from the input amplifier, a control switch unit which is connected between the input amplifier and the output unit and drives the output unit with a switch mode to precharge the output channel in a precharge period before a data supply period in which the output unit outputs the data voltage, and a mode control unit which controls the control switch unit in response to an input control signal.
