The present invention relates to a biaryl derivative of following chemical formula 1, a method for preparing the same, a pharmaceutical composition including the same, and uses of the same. The biaryl derivative according to the present invention promotes GLP-1 generation in gastrointestinal tract as a GPR120 agonist, improves insulin-resistance in liver or muscle by an anti-inflammatory action in macrophages and fat cells, and is useful in preventing and treating metabolic diseases like diabetes, complication of diabetes, obesity, non-alcoholic fatty liver, steatohepatitis, osteoporosis, and inflammation.
